JJ's Motorcycle Training was established in 2014 by Dave Knights, a passionate motorcyclist with decades of riding experience and a commitment to raising the standard of motorcycle training in Cambridgeshire.
From our base in Ramsey, we've helped hundreds of riders take their first steps on two wheels — from complete beginners completing their CBT, through to experienced riders achieving their full licence via Direct Access.
We're a small, friendly team of DVSA approved instructors who genuinely care about every student's progress. We take the time to understand your goals and tailor our training to suit you.

Our New Facility
In 2024, we relocated to our new premises in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire, to enhance our customers' training experience and provide improved facilities in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
Our facilities include:
- Heated classrooms providing a comfortable learning environment.
- Full toilet facilities available on site.
- Complimentary refreshments, including tea, coffee and filtered water for refilling drinking bottles.
- Student kitchen facilities, including a fridge, microwave and toaster.
- Protective riding equipment, including helmets, jackets and gloves, available free of charge throughout training.
- An on-site training pad featuring a marked road system, helping students develop their riding skills in a realistic training environment.
- An outdoor picnic area with seating, available for students to enjoy during lunch breaks when weather permits.
Our new location allows us to offer a more comfortable and practical training environment, ensuring students have access to the facilities and equipment they need throughout their motorcycle training experience.

Dave Knights
Founder & Lead Instructor
Dave founded JJ's in 2014 after a long career in motorcycling. His calm, patient approach has helped hundreds of students gain the confidence to ride safely.
Nick Knights
DVSA Approved Instructor
Nick brings energy and enthusiasm to every lesson. Whether you're a nervous beginner or a returning rider, Nick will put you at ease from the very first session.
David Welch
DVSA Approved Instructor
David's methodical teaching style and wealth of real-world riding experience make him an invaluable part of the JJ's team.
